There are three main categories of window coverings other than curtains and drapes. These are:

Blinds  ~ Shades ~ Shutters

Blinds are simple and easy and lend themselves well to most rooms of a home or office.

Shades expand interior options with textures, colors and finishes ranging from casual to formal.

Shutters allow in a wide variety of light and are more formal, clean-lined and refined.

Let’s discover your home’s personality and livability to determine where to start.  Once we have decided upon blinds, shades or shutters, I take into account the color palette of your home and furnishings as well as your design theme.  This helps me narrow down great options for color, texture and style.  

Other factors to consider are maintenance; how often do you anticipate cleaning your blinds?  Once a week, once a month or once a year?  (No judging….we’ve all gotten busy and put off cleaning our window coverings). Some products require regular maintenance; others will let cleaning slide a little.

NO, WE AREN’T TALKING ABOUT MATH

Unlike the Order of Operations we all learned in school with it’s specific set of rules, our products come with a number of operation options.

Rods, cords, remote controls and cordless systems are all ways to open, close, raise, lower and adjust your window coverings for any condition.  I can help you find the right operation solution for each room.  (And if you want to remember the order of operations, here’s a hint; Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally). 

TEXTURED, SMOOTH, PATTERN, PRINT OR SOLID

This is where we determine what material your window coverings will be made of.  There are multiple options; for example; wood or faux wood for blinds and shutters, fabric for cellular, pleated, roller, solar and verticals and woven woods for horizontals.
